Preview of our new billing feature we are working on

I just posted a link to a video on our Facebook page about a new feature that we are are in the middle of working on. The new feature is to help with a problem we were having around billable time and not always bee able to easily see what time we had already charge for. We also know quite a lot of you out there have also been having the same issues from the amount of feedback we have been receiving about this same issue.

The problem:

Some projects we were ending up with huge amounts of time been logged on them, then after a while it became very hard for accounts here to see which of this massive list of logged time had actually been billed and what was still due to be billed.

The solution:

What the new feature does is it now allows you to drag time, which has been logged as billable, over on to an invoice sheet. The idea behind this feature is that within a project there should never be any billable time that has not been assigned to an invoice.

The best way to get an idea of how this is working is to watch the short video I made which takes you through how it's currently working. Remember this is only our first working version and it's still a work in progress.

One thing I mention in the video is if your interested in Beta testing this feature in your install of TWPM just become a friend on Facebook and then we will be picking about 30 people to help us test this new feature and help us develop it further.

Would love to see integration with Freshbooks...preferably synchronization or export of time logs to Freshbooks....similar to Basecamp. Right now I am manually transferring the time over.
Hi Tarch, I was the lead developer on this and I'm definitely planning on adding Freshbooks integration.. asap. Let us know if you want pre-release access.
Absolutely.
We do not use time on Projects rather each project has a value. Could you include the option to assign a value to a project rather than time but still include the ability to have an invoice onto which you could drag the value.
Also the ability to list/output/print all the invoices for a Company (for which there may be several Projects) over a period of time (week/month) would be very useful.
Finally if you can incorporate the value idea then we would love to trial this, I am adding this request here as I do not have/do not want a Facebook account.
Thanks - Martin.
Outstanding. We're in the midst of migrating from project management systems as well as invoicing systems. In the midst of launching a new PM system, after extensive time on other PM systems and recently testing the gamut of offerings in existence today, we found TeamWorkPM and was amazed at its robust list of features yet highly intuitive interface and project management methodology. Add to that the highly-favorable pricing structure.

In spite of the drawback of having to manually copy and paste time logs, it was too difficult to resist TeamWorkPM. And now to realize the ability to export time log data and moreover the ability to monitor what has been billed is actively int the works, there's no use to fret any longer and even more reason to be an advocate of such an incredible software application.

Thank you.

And by the way, we'd love to beta test the pre-release and provide encouraging feedback.
It would be great if you could assign the expected amount of time to a task. For example, I might say that a given task is due next tuesday and should take 5.0 hours. Both the actual time billed and the date the task is completed may not be the same as what was budgeted. This would give me a good way of comparing budget to actual. Also, is there any way to enter a person's billing rate, so I can determine total amount billed to a project to date? I assumed this was available, but I couldn't find a way to add billing rate.
